Although it hasn't gone as well as i'd planned (start of uni = lots of nights out), I have made some changes and got the ball rolling :)
Things I have done to try and be more healthy:
*I have stopped drinking fizzy drinks so much and i'm substituting them for water, sugar free squash or tea with sweeteners
*I've gone back on Weight Watchers and i'm watching what i eat and my portion sizes
*I've stopped snacking in between meals
*I'm taking multi-vitamins every day and trying my best to drink as much water as i can but it makes me feel a bit sick?
*I'm walking to uni and back monday-thursday
*I'm starting street dance lessons with verity, once a week every week in an attempt to get a bit more exercise!!
*Vicky and i have been regularly texting each other for motivation/abuse! The words 'ohmygod you fat bitch' have been exchanged rather a lot ;) laaaavely!!
Hopefully all of this will work and the weight will start to drop off next week :)

untitled.
get a life,
go out,
party,
do drugs,
drink vodka,
take a picture (or 500),
have a dance,
remember the moment,
fall through your front door,
wake up in the hallway,
kiss your best friend,
repeat.

When the going gets tough...
The tough go shopping!! Verity, Stew and I went the to Trafford Centre today for a bit of a day out :) There are some other bits included in this post that I got online a couple of days ago!

MAC lipstick in 'up the amp', I'm channeling my inner Caroline with this, she wears it often and it always looks absolutely beautiful on her!!
Illamasqua cream blusher in 'Dixie' its lush :)
Too Faced Glamour2Go palette i bought this from Apothica because i thought it was too much of a bargain at $20!! its got 8 eyeshadows, 4 glosses and a blusher! so cute!
Essie 'angora cardi'

Ice Cream Bath Bomb Set I ordered this from Apothica the other day and it was $12 so i have NO IDEA why its $30 now?! confusing!! anyway it has 12 little bath bombs in it. 2 chocolate, 2 Vanilla, 2 Strawberry, 1 Pomegranate, 1 Pearberry, 1 Apple, 1 Coconut, 1 Papaya, and 1 Peach :) LAAAAVELY!!
Lush mmm melting marshmellow moment yummy!!
Lush creamy candy bath my faveeeee!
A sample of lush retread conditioner
A little heart soap :)

HUGE black Topshop snood :)

The boots i'd been lemming from river island!

I bought Stew a coat from Jack Jones and he got free headphones and gave them to me (cheers love!) but i've decided i dont want them cause they say jack jones on and thats a guys shop!!
Knitted black tights from River island, the idiot who served me (worst customer service i've ever had) left the tag on (ERGH) so annoying, luckily stew is some sort of ninja/crim and managed to cut it off!!
Hello kitty pez from river island £1.50 hahaha :)

Gorgeous top from H! by henry holland at debenhams, love it!!
I'm going into Nottingham tomorrow to pick up supplies for uni (does anyone else get excited about stationary?) and go to MAC again because the service at the trafford selfridges was appalling, 3 of the sales staff basically attacked me and made me feel so uncomfortable!!
Also, the girl who served me at illamasqua today had REALLY BADLY chapped lips....? it completely grossed me out hence my VERY small purchase of one item!!
On a final note, we went to a DRIVE THRU krispy creme today?!?!?! WTF!!!! haha :)

'All students do is drink vodka and sleep...'
Its that time of year where everyone is moving away from home and starting Uni and i'm about to start my final year so i thought i'd share some of the things i've learnt (most of them the hard way!!) over the last two years!!
1. Make small talk - your flatmate, the guy in the flat below, the girl across the street, anyone! If it wasn't for me just randomly approaching a group of people outside my halls of residence when i felt lonely i would never have met stew!!
2. Try to work out a weekly budget if you can. The easiest way to do this is to write down everything that comes into your account, and everything that goes out, and then work out how many weeks are in the term and factor that in :) I have never had money problems because i budget quite carefully! Summer is always really difficult (this summer if it wasnt for my dad i wouldnt have even been able to EAT!) so try to save a little bit as you go along, just to help you in the 4 long summer months!!
3. Stay organised - write EVERYTHING down, lecture times and locations, assignment deadlines, 'that guy from mondays lecture's phone number, your tutors email, everything will come in handy at some point!! I randomly asked a girl for her number in a lecture and it proved to be invaluable when we were both stuck on an assignment later on!!
4. Decorate your room! Buy brightly coloured 'stuff' and distribute it everywhere! make sure you personalise it as that tiny little hovel with a cupboard that has a toilet, sink, and shower in it is yours for the year!! I found that decorating my room with pretty stuff helped to keep me occupied in the first few days when i was really sad and homesick.
5. GO OUT!!! At weekends, on weekdays, in the middle of the afternoon, literally whenever you can! yes you need to do your work as well, but by turning down invitations and stuff you can ruin your chances of some friendships. one of the girls i lived with for the last two years literally NEVER went out so no one really knew her or liked her... not good.
6. Take a million photos! Those of you who have me on facebook will see that in my first year verity and i took hundreds, and hundreds and hundreds of photos! Some of the moments we dont even remember happening so they come in pretty handy when you're trying to work out who 'that guy from revs' is when he texts you the next day!!
7. Ask questions. if you're unsure about something it is a lot easier and less embarrassing to just ask someone, than it is to find your laundry locked in the laundry room at 11pm because thats when they close it. Yes, I did this. haha :)
8. Work. As in, actually study your course and write your assignments as early as you can! As much as going out and partying is awesome, you dont want to finish uni with a 2:2 or 3rd because you didn't try! The first year doesnt really 'count' much but its a good idea to get into a routine early. The amount of all nighters that were pulled in my flat in the first year were just ridiculous and left me feeling like i was going to die!!
9. Take a few risks! I don't condone drug taking or one night stands or anything like that, but you're at uni! Just make sure you stay safe and don't do anything you're unsure of! I lived with a girl who slept with different lads almost every night of the week, it wasnt nice, but she was happy! you don't want to look back and think 'i wish i had done that' :)
10. Remember to call home! your mum/dad/mum and dad are probably finding it hard too! My mum once told me she had almost forgotten she had a daughter ;) haha!
11. Get contents insurance. Yes, its a pain in the arse and its expensive but in my first year two people got robbed. one had insurance, one didnt. the insured person replaced all of his valuables within a week and was sorted, the uninsured person ended up in £2000 worth of debt. not cool!
12. Last but certainly not least, take every single opportunity that you are offered. You only do university once (in most cases!!).
:) I guess the most important thing is just to have fun!
Good luck everyone!!

Current favourites!

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder - everyone has been asking what I have on my skin in the webcam photos i've been posting recently! The answer is nothing but a bit of this £4 powder!! my skin has really improved so i only ever wear foundation for nights out or for long shifts at work! This powder keeps me matte, gives me enough coverage to just even out my skin tone and stays looking lovely all day! amazingggg :)
MYX lipstick in 'power' - seen in this photo I need to buy another one but have no idea where from as this one came from a blog sale!!
A'kin hand, nail and cuticle creme - this was sent to me by MyPure.co.uk and it has been in my handbag since the day i got it!! It smells amazing and keeps my hands really well moisturised, even in this awful cold and wet weather! at £7.99 its a bit pricey but it definately works hard to keep my hands soft and moisturised all day long :) it also isnt greasy, which is really important to me!
Asda cocoa butter - this cost me about £2 and works just as well as Palmers cocoa butter which is almost a fiver and you get a lot less in the bottle! i love the smell of this :)
2True eyebrow pencil - this is £2 from superdrug and i've gone through about 5 since i first bought it about a year and a half ago. it applies evenly, gives a really good colour and doesnt run/smudge all day! on top of that its an absolute BARGAIN!!
Mac studio fix fluid - as i mentioned before ive only been wearing foundation on long shifts at work or nights out and ive fallen back in love with this little beast!! amazing coverage, it doesnt transfer to my phone/clothes and it feels light and amazing on my skin ♥

Healthy sexy hair shampoo and treatment, i wrote a review on this here. I honestly feel like its working miracles!! Today i washed and conditioned with it and then blow dried my hair and it doesnt even need straightening!! WOWZA!! :D

Chai tea/Chai lattes
My all time favourite thing at winter time! My fit friend Tom (emily if you're reading this, wink wink!!) used to make them for me all the time when he worked for Starbucks and his were the best, this 'drink me' stuff is the closest i can get to a Tom-latte!! hahaha :) i love it! so spicey and warming and just generally delicious! its about £2 from asda :)

Leggings/jeans, long tops, long cardigans and Ugg boots - basically my uniform for when it gets cold and i love it, comfortable, warm, covers up my lumpy bits and looks really put together and stylish if you do it right!!
What are your favourite things atm?

mmmmm sexy hair!!
HealthySexyHair to be precise!! I mentioned this shampoo and conditioner in my little silly blog yesterday. As eeeeveryone now knows, I have completely, and utterly, ruined my hair by doing a DIY dark brown -> blonde job. My hair is now fluffy, frizzy, out of control, and constantly snaps off. I left a deep conditioning mask on my hair for two hours the other night and it seems to have made very little difference.
Sexy Hair is a haircare brand that originated in the states, it has all different little sub sections (Big sexy hair, straight sexy hair, silky sexy hair etc) how cute is that!! The packaging is beautiful as well! The bottles are a deep tiffany blue and had shiney silver lids, the writing is white and silver and this just looks adorable in my opinion!
The biggest problem with having bleached hair is shampoo'ing it, you always find that when you rinse the shampoo out your hair feels straw like, brittle, and tangled. Getting a conditioner into that hair requires a lot of time, effort, and often pain. Not nice!!!
Enter Healthy Sexy Hair 'reinvent colour extend shampoo' and Healthy Sexy Hair 'reinvent colour extend treatment'

I have genuinely never been so impressed with haircare. ever. I always find that regardless of whether I pay £1 or £10 for haircare, i always feel a bit underwhelmed!
Products:
The shampoo is quite thick which is nice (i hate runny shampoo) its sulfate free but still lathers up really nicely which is fab because like so many others, without that lather, i don't feel clean!!
The treatment is also thick (but not too thick) and both products smell divine, it was easy and quick to distribute through my hair and i only needed a really small amount!!
Performance:
The shampoo literally amazed me! it was easy to rinse out, and when rinsed left my hair feeling as though i had just conditioned it?! Wowzer! it was literally so soft i could probably have gotten away with not using the treatment at all! And that, with the current state of my hair, is really saying something!! My hair felt clean, and didn't feel weighed down :)
The treatment left my hair feeling like silk, i left it on whilst i washed, shaved my legs, and exfoliated so probably 5-6 minutes (i'm a shower ninja) and it rinsed out really quickly and easily. It didnt leave any minging residue on my hair and it made blow drying and straightening a LOT easier!!
I'm so, so, SO impressed with these products, its really out of character!! Stew is also loving the packaging and every time he sees it hes like 'i really like those bottles!!' haha!
Prices:
Prices start at £12.99 for these beauties and i think thats amazing value for how these products perform and work to sort your hair out from the inside out!
You can buy Sexy Hai products from Salons nationwide and they can also be found here and here!
Feelunique.com have the shampoo and treatment available for £11.05 and £11.90 (RRP £12.99 and £13.99) and Beautybay.com has them available for £11.50 and £11.95 :)

Insert ridiculous pose here!

Yet again not wearing any foundation! i can't believe it!!
Rimmel stay matte powder, no 7 'highlights' (pink) on my cheeks, mac e/s in dazzlelight, tempting, and sable on my eyes, rimmel exaggerate liquid liner, urban decay 24/7 liner, l'oreal telescopic carbon black (with rimmel sexy curves on top) and then gosh darling with benefit gloss over the top on my lips :) basic face ftw!!
Used my new 'healthy sexy hair' shampoo and conditioner today, its absolutely amazing!! I'll be writing it up at some point over the weekend!!
how is everyone? today i've just been cotching (that ones for you Rae) round the house and listening to Annie Mac's absolutely filthy Radio 1 show from friday! Nothing better than a bit of dirty drum and bass and even filthier electro to get a thursday going ;) I'm not really into the whole chipmunk voice (scooter anyone?!) 'dance' music thing... I'd rather have a bassline that makes my toes curl!

Hair changes mean new extensions!!
Hiiii everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts this week, I've got a lot of shifts at work (yay! money!) so I've been pretty busy all the time!
So yeah, some of you may know that I recently bleached my hair back to blonde again, I'm completely 100% in love with it and feel myself again :) I felt so plain and boring as a brunette!!
Obviously my hair extensions are now the wrong colour, and I need a new set, I ended up absolutely loving how flexible and versatile clip-in extensions are so I'm looking for another set of clip-ins!!
I'm just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for extensions that are well priced, stay in the hair securely and last a long time? Obviously I've read about FoxyLocks but Ive seen some slightly negative reviews about them from various people so I'd rather get recommendations from everyone :)
So yeah! Recommend some lovely clip-in extensions to me because mine are going to have to go in the bin :(

Finally there...
Today Stew pulled my hair through a cap and we bleached it to try and break up the yellow/golden tones in my hair... I then stuck aussie 3 minute miracle on it for almost TWO HOURS!

I can't believe i've managed to reach my goal of bright blonde in about 10 days!! Yes, my hair is extremely dry, brittle and it needs a damn good cut (i snipped the shorter fringe in myself yesterday!) but i love it so, so much!!
Make up wise in this photo, all i have on is a bit of powder (rimmel stay matte) nars penny lane cream blush, sable eyeshadow, liquid liner, pencil liner, and mac studio fix lash mascara!! on my lips ive got a bit of gosh darling topped with mac fashion scoop cremesheen glass :) nice and natural-ish!!

Reading highlights on tv?

We got bored and snapped some stupid shots earlier, the photo of me in the hat looking super confused was when Paramore were on. Fuck I hate that band. After seeing literally HUNDREDS of bands and going to HUNDREDS of gigs in my measly 20 years of life, i have never, ever seen anyone who sounded as shit as Hayley Williams. Maybe if she hadn't been spending so much time taking photos of her tits to upload to twitter she'd have had time to rehearse?! I dunno, she was jumping around like a 15 year old kid who had just tried drugs for the first time and it didn't do her voice any justice. Shit shit shit. PASSION BEFORE FASHION KIDS!! it aint all about the hair! read these lyrics!!!!
This led to a 'discussion' on Twitter about whether bands sound the same live as they do on Cd (because paramore really do sound wank live).... this made me think about the bands i've seen who literally sound exactly the same live as they do on CD, google the names if you're cool enough!! ;)
*Flogging Molly
*Cypress Hill
*Mouthwash (google MouthwashLondon)
*Pendulum
*Bad Religion
*The Prodigy
*Gallows (YES ZOE!!)
*Limp Bizkit
*GoGol Bordello
*The Skints
*Billy Talent
*A day to remember
*h2o (GO!!) :) my faaaaave!!
*Enter Shikari
*Bane
*Dizzee Rascal
*Lethal Bizzle
*Random Hand
*Sonic Boom 6
There are loads, the list literally goes on!!!
I've also been amused by the amount of people slagging off Blink 182's performance at Reading. I am unhealthily obsessed with this band and remember queueing outside the 'record store' in cambridge with my mum for her to buy Enema of the State. If you've listened to the Mark,Tom and Travis show you'll know that the 182 are famed for acting stupid on stage, changing the lyrics to their songs, and making sick jokes. for me, the performance at reading was beyond perfect. I fully understand that sound wise they sucked, tom delongue has got fat, and he looked like he was on drugs. but holy shit! they were awesome :) i dont think they'll come to the UK again anytime soon so i feel truely honoured to have been able to be part of that crowd!!
In case i've never mentioned it before, my Mum is fucking cool!! She bought me up listening to punk and ska, taught me how to 'skank' and 'pogo' when i was a toddler, and generally just taught me the value of good music at an early age! Can anyone else say that their mum shaved her head all apart from her fringe, then dyed her fringe lime green and listened to the sex pistols whilst cooking dinner?! HELL YEAH! At the moment her favourite thing to do is sing at the TOP OF HER LUNGS to Mouthwash in my car, she might actually be their oldest fan (ahahaha!)...
I've no idea where this blog came from, it just sort of spilt out onto the screen whilst i was watching Nitro Circus :)

Just be happy?
Why can't some people, just be happy for other people? Over the past few weeks I've had comments on my blog, comments/questions on formspring, and emails... all about one particular subject. My make-up qualification.
Comments such as 'i don't believe you're qualified' and 'Would LOVE to know how you are a "qualified make up artist" from doing a course for a few days. It doesn't happen.'
I just wanted to clear everything up.
Here is a photo of my qualification that I uploaded onto my facebook page on the 9th March 2009. The day I received it. It is a Carlton Institute Diploma that is BABTAC and Guild recognised. For those who don't know, being BABTAC and Guild recognised means I am able to obtain insurance so that I can do make-up jobs on clients, be it fashion shows, hen nights, weddings.... whatever I want to do.

The Details:
My Dad paid for me to do a fast-track make-up course with the Carlton Institute. You can find the make-up courses they offer here. They aren't overly expensive but the prices change regularly, for example i believe my dad paid roughly £500 for my course but at the moment the Carlton Institute have loads of offers and discounts on!!
I booked my course through a beauty school near me that teaches the Carlton Institute courses My course was a four-day intensive (8am-6pm) course.
The course taught me the following:
♥Introduction to make-up and consultation - I have my own consultation cards designed and learnt how to identify any issues such as conjunctivitis, skin problems, acne, etc.
♥Preparation of the skin for make-up - a mimi-facial, cleanse, tone, moisturise and facial massage.
♥Skin type characteristics - how to identify skin types, which preperation techniques to use for each type, which products to use on each type... etc.
♥Make-up products - colour matching and custom mixing foundations, which make-up works best on mature skin.. etc.
♥Corrective and contouring techniques - how to completely change the shapes of the eyes and lips, how to contour and highlight, how to use colour correctors...
♥Day make-up
♥Evening make-up
♥Bridal make-up
♥Colouring suggestions - which tones and products work best for people with different colouring.
♥False lashes - upper and lower, how to apply them to different eye shapes, how to make everything comfortable for the client.
Obviously I also get really lovely emails from people asking where i trained, whether i found it difficult, and congratulating me, and I'd just like to take the time to say a HUGE HUGEEEEEE thank you to those people because the nice/supportive comments and emails make all of the horrible ones bearable!!
So yeah, the simple fact is. Yes, i am qualified. Yes, i am insured to work on clients as and when i please. Yes, i get bookings for photoshoots, weddings, make-up lessons, hen partys, big nights out, etc. Yes, i did a fast-track course that allowed me to qualify extremely quickly. And YES i have every fucking right (excuse my language) to class myself as a qualified make-up artist and advertise myself as such.
Anyone who has anything negative to say about my skills or my qualification is perfectly welcome to print off the above photo of my diploma and shove it up their arse.
:)
cheers for reading everyone!!

Some sort of skin miracle!?
I never, ever change my skin products/facial care routine. Ever!! Johnsons 3-in-1 face wipes, L'oreal de maq expert cashmere milk make-up remover, simple moisturisor and when its really, really dry, Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream. Thats it. At least that was it until I tried some Clean Start products.
Basically Dermalogica has created a range of amazing quality products for teenage skin. I suffer from hormonal breakouts, general breakouts, a really oily t-zone, and blackheads (nice!). With Clean Start by Dermalogica focusing on skin health, not beauty, none of the products contain artificial fragrances or colours, or any of that absolutely BRUTAL stripping alcohol so its really gentle on the skin :)
I don't know if you've seen many reviews on this yet but I was sent a pack of products to try... The thing that caught my eye the most was the cute colourful packaging... white bottles/tubes with really bright writing! So cute!

I've tried all of the (eight) products in the range (and have been using them for two months!) and i've seen some big changes in how healthy my skin is!
Before i started using the products my skin was red, i had small breakouts and a really oily chin and nose, i had to slap loads of foundation on to try to cover the redness and i didn't feel happy or confident with my skin at all!! Two months on and my skin looks like this:

Not a single spot or breakout in sight, no redness, and very little oilyness...
In the above photo i am literally wearing Brighten Up SPF15 with a dusting of collection 2000 perfecting minerals over the top, a bit of blusher, my eye make-up, and lipgloss :)
♥ 'Wash off' and 'all over clear' - Wash Off is a foaming gel face wash that absolutely wipes out make-up, dirt, oil, everything! After i use this my face feels soft, fresh, clean calm. I've used this when i've been wearing glitter, waterproof mascara, tonnes of eyeliner, etc and it removes absolutely everything and leaves my skin perfectly clean! All Over Clean is a cooling toner which can be used on the face and chest or back, it comes in a convenient spray bottle and i just spritz it all over my face and neck to help deal with oil and to calm my skin (i have really red cheeks).
♥ 'Ready, set, scrub!' - this is a masque and scrub which is really effective, i suffer with lots of redness in my skin and find that most facial scrubs just make it worse but this scrub helped to keep my skin cool whilst making it soft, i've also used it as a face mask a few times and its really lovely, i really felt that it helped with my breakouts.
♥ 'Bedtime For Breakouts' - this is a night time treatment that i used twice a week on any breakouts and also on the redness on my cheeks, this literally zaps spots overnight and i now swear by it, ive already bought another tube!
♥ 'Brighten up SPF15' - this is a lotion which has UV protection but also a natural tint and a bit of shimmer, i use this every day and only need to apply powder to my skin because this product combined with all of the others has helped my skin so much! This makes my skin really soft and i love the little bit of tint and shimmer in it :)
The other products in the line:
'Hit the spot' - this is a dab-on treatment that clears up breakouts, this is really really effective, the only reason it isn't in my ♥list is because although i get small breakouts, i rarely get big spots so although this was fantastic at 'that time of the month' i didn't have that much of a use for it!
'Welcome Matte SPF15' - this is similiar to 'brighten up' but is specifically to help control oil and keep you matter throughout the day, although i found this really moisturising, i didn't really think it kept me matte for very long, maybe 4 or 5 hours at the most... I much prefer 'brighten up'.
'Smart Mouth Lip Shine' - this is a non-sticky, moisturising lip shine, its an amazing product and i really love the packaging but i felt it was a bit expensive (£8.20) for what is essentially a lip balm. Although i loved it i won't be repurchasing it :(
Clean Start Products retail from £8.20-£15.35 and i think they are really worth the money (maybe with the exception of the lip shine). I have already bought a tube of 'Bedtime for Breakouts' and will be ordering the other products as soon as mine start to run out as I absolutely swear by these products now :)

My top 5: things to eat!!
I know this is random, but hey! Variety is the spice of life! In no particular order....
1. Eggs - for some reason some complete freak on formspring keeps asking me gross questions about my love of eggs and i doubt this blog will help with that but merrrrhhhh.... I really bloody like eggs! My favourite are dippy eggs with soldiers but any form is fine by me!

2. Percy Pigs

3. Chocolate - nomnomnomnomnomnommmm

4. Spaghetti Bolognaise - my mum and my dads friend leo both make amazing spag bol, i'd happily live off of it forever!

5. Fish finger sandwiches and spaghetti on toast - ok I cheated but i couldn't choose between the two!!

My diet is somewhat childish to be honest ;) oh well, its yummy!

Buying little sparkly's makes me happy!
My newly found nail art obsession is becoming somewhat infamous amongst my family and friends, they're forever asking me 'what i've done with them today' or if i can do theirs, so over the last few weeks ive been buying some dinky things to help me make my nails even better! I've bought 500 animal shaped fimo slices, 1800 rhinestones and a Viva La Nails sample pack that can be found here at the moment its out of stock but i signed up to receive an email when they got some more and then ordered one straight away! you only pay about £3 postage for £20 worth of stuff so its amazing!!
In my sample pack i got:
3 packs nail stickers (1 coloured, 1 black with rhinestones and 1 white with rhinestones)
3 packs water decals
3 packs rhinestones (green ovals, pink rounds and red flowers)
3 packs of 'dazzlings' (hollow stars, punched stars and plain stars)
1 pack of super glitter (yellow with green reflects)
1 pack gold 'flitter' (its like tinsel!!!)
1 pack nail art feather (red)
1 pack TINY green pearls!!
How good is that!!

^you can peep my amazing new pj bottoms in the corner!!
Instead of going completely crazy with it i just did something quite cute and subtle... I've been LOVING painting my nails alternate colours recently :)

I painted my nails Models Own Purple Grey and Pastel Pink alternately and then randomly sprinkled some 'gold flitter' on my thumb nails and stuck some pink rhinestones on my ring fingers :) I love them, i think its really really cute :)

If you've got a student overdraft...
...you might as well use it right?! ;)

Dresses: primark (floral - £3, polka dot - £2)
Leggings: primark £3
Pants: primark (mad hatter - £1.70, leopard - £1)
Knee High Socks: primark - £1.50
Kit Kats (my fave!): superdrug - £1
Face wipes: savers - £1.99!
Hello Kitty mirror - Present from Stew today!!
Tresemme: savers - £2.49 a bottle!!!!
Toner for my hair: superdrug - 99p
Aussie 3 minute miracle reconstructor: superdrug - 99p :)
I also bought some ridiculously amazingly cute leopard print pj bottoms for £4 from primark but I loved them so much I've already got them on!!
I've been trying to spend as little as possible recently as I don't really have any money and I really didn't want to use my overdraft at all as I haven't had to use it yet at uni!! (yes, two years without an overdraft!!), Stew and I realised the other day that money worries were really getting me down so we went shopping today to try to stop me thinking about it... His reasoning is that I have a job and we get student loan soon so I don't need to fret too much about using my overdraft for a few weeks... It still makes me feel uneasy that I'm spending money that I haven't got but its not like I went crazy or bought anything stupid so I guess its ok :)

A short personal update
YES! I'm alive! haha :) I moved home to my Mums for a few weeks to do some Work Experience with a nanoscience company, it was amazing and I feel like I learnt more in two weeks than I have in 20 years! I spent most of my time working on confidential stuff that I can't talk about but I also learnt a LOT of science-ey 'stuff' and got to play with an electron microscope that could magnify things 75,000 times, how mind boggling is that if you think that the average digital camera will magnify up to 10 times!! When I got back from work experience I went straight off to Reading Festival and had the time of my life! I'm now back, armed with the internet, and have lots of things to write about on here so expect some major blogging to be taking place over the next few weeks!
I go back to uni on the 22nd september and until then i have no money for shopping or anything so unfortunately i've had to extend my giveaway yet-a-bloody-gain. Not necessarily a bad thing as it gives you all even longer to enter!
i'm currently in the process of trying to think of a dissertation title and fighting an absolutely rancid attack of festival flu. screw you reading festival mud/other peoples wee/hot beer! :(
when i'm better i might start recording videos? what do you think?!
on top of my personal giveaway i have two really exciting sponsored giveaways that will be coming up over the next few weeks so keep your eyes peeled for those!
thanks so much for sticking with me recently through my moving house/no internet/work experience/ill/festival stage!! haha :)

The Selfridges Shoe Gallery...

Selfridges is on the verge of launching the world's single biggest destination for shoes: The Shoe Galleries! To celebrate this amazing launch, they're holding a competition to give someone the chance of winning a years supply of shoes from Selfridges! Errrrr.. YES PLEASE!!
The Shoe Galleries is due to be the single biggest shoe destination in the world, showcasing 150 designers with 55,000 pairs of shoes in stock at any one time and 4,000 pairs on display!!
Personally, I think these Galleries sound absolutely amazing! Here is a quote from Selfridges' Director of Accessories:
"Imagine you are in a gallery", says Selfridges' Director of Accessories Sebastian Manes. "From the entrance you see a succession of doorways, and at the end a huge window flooding the space with daylight. Your journey begins at the front, with shoes from the best of the high street. Slowly you begin to travel through different galleries until you reach the end – the couture designer gallery, flanked by Chanel and Louboutin, and a vision of Eden – the new suspended garden at Selfridges. Shoe heaven!"
To enter, all you have to do is click here!! and write a few sentences about your favourite pair of shoes! You can include a photo if you want to :)
I've already written my shoe story as I would love, love, loveeeee to win a years supply of beautiful shoes! I just thought I'd write a quick post on here to make everyone aware of the brilliant ideas behind the Shoe Galleries and the amazing competition Selfridges are hosting to celebrate the launch! As geeky as it is, I might go along just to go through the Galleries and go on some sort of Shoe Journey! I think it'll be really interesting to look at all the couture :)

Inside jokes tell our stories...

I pre lightened it, bleached it three times, then put l'oreal luocolor po1 toner on it... its not as blonde as i want it, but its definately well on the way!! My hair is still in good condition and the ends aren't even really that dry but I'm definately an exception to the rule and I wouldn't recommend doing this to your hair unless you think it can handle it! Mine is thick and stuff :)
as for my face?
NARS Sheer Glow, Collection 2000 perfecting minerals, no blush (shock horror!!) rimmel liquid liner and mac studio fix lash mascara, i have UD 24/7 liner in zero on my lower lashes and waterline and NYX lipstick in 'power' on my lips ^_^ (it tastes of soap?!)
Do you like it? I love it!
Oh and I couldn't think of a title for this blog other than 'guess what i did!' so i thought i'd grace you with some Ruiner lyrics ♥
