I hope you're all having a divine weekend so far, I definitely don't want to go back to work tomorrow! I thought I'd introduce you all to a new series I'm going to be running whilst I catch up on the X Factor this morning :)

As most of you know, I recently finished Uni, started a 'proper' graduate job, and moved into my first ever non-student home! All of this meant I've had to do a lot of 'growing up' in a very short period of time. Over a matter of weeks my life went from going out every night and never really sleeping and living off of a student loan, to early nights, council tax and doing the 9-5 mon-fri ;)

I feel like I've learnt so much on my journey that I may as well write it down and share it with you guys, but make it fun at the same time! Believe it or not, being a 'grown up' doesn't have to be boring!

^haha!
So, with this in mind I'm going to be writing you some posts on things like finding an afforable home, council tax, food shopping, job hunting and Cv's etc (my personal area of expertise... I work in HR!) getting stuff like home insurance, putting a few pennies away for a rainy day, budgeting, and making the transition from student to graduate/grown up.

At the moment, you're all thinking snooooooooooooooze how boring! But trust me, I'm going to sprinkle all of this with some ♥Cat Magic♥
so with this in mind, is there anything you'd like me to write about? Something you're confused by or struggling with.. let me know about it in the comments! :)
xoxo
HOW do people save!? I'm graduating next June and I am actually incapable of saving anything!

I'll actually find this really interesting! My boyfriend is hopefully starting a graduate job next year. He'll have to move away for a year until I join him after my undergraduate degree! I would really be out of my depth when it comes to renting/bills etc so I would love to hear some tips about them :) xxx
ReplyDeleteThis will be seriously interesting :).
ReplyDeleteI remember how impossible I found it at first sorting bills and stuff (even though I live off student loan so its not quite the same). Things like home insurance I had never even thought of haha.

This is a great idea! I finished Uni a few years ago now (mad) and thought I'd hate 'being grown up' and doing 9-5. I love it though! A series on all this kind of stuff is great x
ReplyDeletethis will be so interesting! my last year at uni is next year so all of the knowledge will be so useful!
ReplyDeleteReally like this idea. Hopefully it will allow younger bloggers/ students to ask about things they're most worried about. You could even get other bloggers to give advice on certain areas they work in etc of there are a lot of questions about similar things. Looking forward to the series :) xx
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to this! Still have another year and a half of student living but still having a minor break down about growing up.. haha
ReplyDeleteI think this is a good idea xx
ReplyDeleteI for one not only think this is a great idea, but it will be very helpful for people like me. I've been a "grown-up" for a few years now, but I'm moving to the UK soon from America and this will be good info for things that are different. Thanks for the interesting topic!
ReplyDeleteI really like this idea :D I'm a student atm and live at home, but me and my partner want to move out in the next couple of years but have no idea where to start! x
ReplyDeleteI reckon this will be stellar Cat, looking forward to it already!
ReplyDeletethis will be interesting to read, nothing drives me insane more than people of our age with no real job or ambition who still live at home and are making no effort to change their situation... im proud that i am responsible for my own life :D
