I'm going to cut straight to the chase here, I need your help!
I've been at my new job for about three weeks now, and as much as I absolutely adore it, it's destroying my skin :(
The air conditioning and computers are drying my skin out like I've never seen before! I've increased my water intake and started moisturising three times a day but it doesn't seem to be making any difference... My skin is dry, tight, and flakey and I'm breaking out EVERYWHERE. If you've read my blog for a while you'll know I don't really get spots ever but for the last three weeks my skin has been dreadful :(
Do any of you have this problem? How do you deal with it?
Obviously I'm not going to post a picture of my zits but here's a couple I've taken recently where you can see my skin just isn't good!!

Errrgh hello disgusting skin!!
So, are there any spot fighting/moisturising products you can recommend to me? Or any office tips that will also go some way towards limiting my skin problems?
I'm going to do some research tonight to see if there are any companies that specialise in office skincare :)
Hope you're all ok,
Thanks for reading! xo
I have dry skin that is prone to blemishes and the only thing that doesn't make my skin even more dry but still clears up my blemishes is witch hazel gel.
ReplyDeleteI use Avene & Vichy cleansers, moisturisers and serums. They've got my dry skin completely under control. xo
i dont have that much of an issue in my office but we dont have aircon, i would try a moisturising face mask and maybe switch to a richer moisturiser, avene do an amazing one :D

Try the Garnier Pure A Daily Treatment Moisturiser. Fights spots at the same time as giving you moisture. Also try and get outside for a walk at lunchtime to get some fresh air round your skin. xo

Maybe buy a facial spritzer thingy? I know clinique does one (moisture surge range) or maybe a mac fix+ type thing that you can spray on throughout the day???x
ReplyDeleteDefinitely recommend Cliniques Anti-Blemish Solutions Clear Blemish Gel. I use that to clear up any spots or redness I get and it works a treat! Heres the link to the boots website..

Hope it works for you whatever you use! :) xxx
I've always suffered from super dry skin until I started used the Neutrogena Deep Clean invigorating daily scrub. Works wonders and it is currently £1 off in superdrug.
ReplyDeleteI also found that Johnsons Baby Lotion is a great moisturizer to sleep in if you want to wake up with moisturized skin, but is too heavy during the day.
I hope this helps :)
I started my new job at start of August, and my skin was hellish until this week; I got breakouts and dry patches galore! I've started using Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser, followed by either Witch or Murad anti acne face wash, and use Superdrug Anti Blemish gel on any spots. It seemed hopeless at times, but after 6 weeks I've finally got my usual skin back. Lots of water is a must too so keep it up :)
ReplyDeleteI had this problem at first when I started to work in an office. I just had to wait for my face to get used to it which took about a month. I expect your skin will do the same xxx
ReplyDeleteI have exactly the same problem its awful, my skin feels terrible after a day at work and I work 11h shifts, I wear No. 7 Protect and Perfect Day/Night/Eye/hand cream all the time, I swear by that stuff, I also keep a little mini pot of the day cream at my desk if I feel my skin getting dry.
ReplyDeleteI also like to have one of those little evian water spray things at my desk, they are great for hydrating my skin and also for cooling down in the summer, my office gets roasting air con or not.
I try to use a montagne jeunesse moisture mask (or the likes) every few days to make sure I'm doing everything I can to keep my skin from feeling dry but in an office sometimes it feels like a losing battle haha
