I'm moving home until the 30th august and have no internet at mother dearests house (and i'm not lucky enough to own an iPhone!) soooooo... no blogger or twitter or anything for me! Stick with me though, i'll be back on the 30th after reading festival :) Stew is staying in Derby and if you need me desperately, as in like oh-my-god-if-i-dont-talk-to-cat-the-world-will-end desperately, then you can email him at stew7n[at]hotmail.com, pleae don't spam him or send him anything rude (CAROLINE I'M TALKING TO YOU!!) so yeah, see you all in a few days!!

Sometimes its nice...
To just write, isn't it!? I feel like its a really long time since I just let my thoughts flow on my blog! I used to write posts like this all the time but deleted most of them in a crazy moment...
Lots of things seem to be going on every single day at the moment, from a friend at uni randomly telling me her boyfriend had been hitting her, to finding a little black cat who we think might be homeless, its been a long time since i just sat and let thoughts slowly dribble out of my brain to allow me to unravel them and sort them out!
At the moment i'm really stressed, on friday i'm moving back home until the 25th august to do some work experience at a big company in their HR department, my dads best friend got me the gig and i'm really grateful for it. the only problem is, im terrified!! I'll finish work at about 5pm on the 25th then i have to get the train to derby (alone) and pack for reading festival! we're leaving for reading at about 4am on the thursday to get a good camping spot!! I'm so excited about reading, i bang on about it on here literally all the time but seeing Blink 182 is a life-long dream of mine and i'm just so happy that i'll be able to do it with stew and zoe by my side!
The time between the 16th and 25th will be the longest amount of time i've ever spent apart from stew since we got together almost two years ago! its going to be so strange! i'm so happy to be able to stay with my mum and spend a lot of time with family and friends at home, i rarely go home because i have panic attacks and get really upset when i leave and i dont like putting my mum and nan through all the stress of it every time (nan always cries too!)
Once i get back from reading i'm going to be doing a weeks work experience with another very large company and im also really excited about that! my dad knows the HR manager in their HQ and she said she'd take me on for a week which is fab :) as much as all of these opportunities are exciting, im petrified about what is going to happen next may when uni is over and i have to sort my life out!
Before i can even think about that i need to write my dissertation, i'm hoping to come up with a title and a bit of a plan before i start uni on the 22nd september but the truth is i have no idea where to start and my uni aren't exactly well known for supporting their students, its more like 'you have a dissertation to write so go do it' :/ i don't deal well with situations like that at all, i need to be supported and have a bit of help throughout and i dont think im going to get that :(
It overwhelms me that once i'm back from reading it will be september, uni will start again, and before i know it, it will all be over and i'll be like 'errrr...gimme a job plz?' haha! on top of that stew is going to be at uni for an extra year so i either have to find a job and stay in derby with him, or move home and spend a year without him. crazy.
this is geting kinda long! i doubt anyone will read it but its really theraputic to just sit and write it in silence with a white hot chocolate :) i'm currently in two minds whether to get the two new tattoos i want when i get my student loan (ive mentally spent it all already! hair colour and cut, new clothes, tiffany earrings, tattoos! haha!) one on the back of my neck and one down my whole right side, i already have four tattoos and i love them but i cant help but think if i get too many more it might hinder my chances of getting a job in HR which is my ultimate goal. i don't know. i believe that tattoos/hair colour/piercings should never stop you doing anything you want to do but the simple fact of it is they do! its all more accepted now than it used to be and the coolest thing is that in years to come peoples' grandparents will have full sleeves and all sorts! haha :)
i think thats enough for today, i might make these little rambles a regular feature if you all enjoy them? i dunno! even if people dont like them ill probably do it anyway because i like it :)

Showing Alice some love!
I'm always forgetting I have the Alice in Wonderland Book of Shadows! Stew bought it for me for my birthday and I love it, I just forget about it lots! So today I decided to give old alice a bit of luuuuurve and i created a really quick, simple, neutral day look :) hope you like it!

I used white rabbit as a highlight, then drink me eat me all over my lid, chessur in the outer corner and mad hatter in the crease, it honestly took me about 3 minutes! A quick lick of mascara and i'm good to go!!
On my face i have revlon colourstay, rimmel 'stay matte' powder and the ELF blush and bronze duo.
On my lips i just have a litte bit of vaseline rosy lips!
Please ignore my hair! I hadn't styled it when i took the shots! haha :)
I'm really loving 5/10 minute faces at the moment! If i'm feeling really lazy i just use powder, eyeliner, mascara and lip balm (1 minute face!) on other days i use foundation and a bit of eyeshadow :) Keeping it simple is really refreshing and i'm using a lot of products that i had previously forgotten about!

This weekend I...
Got given flowers

Made some lists

Drank lots of (GENUINE) mountain dew, that 'energy' one is a load of shit!

And beer

Waxed bits of sam and stews legs

Put ridiculously bright make-up on rachel, then put my hair extensions in her hair

Ate chinese food and made lots of mess

Painted my nails

And rachels

Got abused by sam almost every day (haha!)

Got ready lots

And got hit in the face by stews camera strap!

I also worked a bit, ate a yummy ice cream spent girly time with rae, got a nose ring (i've worn a stud since i was 15!!), made cupcakes, bought lots of 'stuff' for reading festival, and slept loads!

Money saving tip #3: Click the button!
Never one to miss out on a fantastic bargain I spied Models Own embarking on a bit of a facebook mission a few days ago! Once they reach 10,000 'likes' on their facebook page they are going to have a 50% off sale! As basically everything from Models Own costs a fiver thats means stuff will be £2.50! You can't even get a boots meal deal for that! ;)

Models own nail polishes are top quality, pigmented, and dry quickly, not too mention an absolute bargain!!

With that in mind I think everyone should take 30 seconds out of their day to go and click the like button! You'll save 50% in the process as when they reach 10,000 likes they are going to send all facebook fans the 50% off code! Its really worth doing things like this especially if you don't own any models own polishes or make-up yet and have been lemming it! You gotta be in it to win it!!
Plus, models own aren't in everyones local Boots store (I'm really lucky and have one near me!) so getting 50% off orders is really handy!

Go on! Get liking!!

FOTD: lazy sunday
I've got sam and rachel from Rae of Sunshine staying at my house for the weekend and to be honest all we've done is watch cop shows and eat chips.... with that in mind... 5 minute face!!

In the last picture the eyeshadow is bleached out a lot but it shows the subtle shimmer running through it, no chunky glitter over here thanks!
Face: Revlon Colourstay (150 buff), rimmel stay matte translucent powder, Suds'n'Sass bronzer in 'Suntan', blusher in 'cotton candy' and highlighter in 'pink horizons' (all from Suds'n'Sass :)
Eyes: All Suds'n'Sass, 'golden rays' all over the lid (this is actually a golden highlighter for the face but is safe for all applications!) 'sandcastle' as a highlight, 'boardwalk' and 'beach babe' through the crease and outer corner. Mac studio fix lash mascara
Lips: vaseline rosy lips :)
My hair is all pinned up and just au naturel at the front :)

Suds'n'Sass - Perfume
As previously mentioned on my blog, Elizabeth sent me a sample bottle of her new Beach House Fragrance with some samples of her new make-up collection :)

Full Size

Sample size
Now, i'm fussy with perfume, VERY fussy. I like my scents sweet and slightly floral, never musky, never citrussy, never masculine, never too floral and never too old. My current favourite is one of the Harajuku lovers perfumes haha! So when I was sent this i was a bit worried 'oh god, am i going to smell like my nan/like a toilet/like air freshener?'.
Well i couldn't have been more wrong, this scent is undeniably gorgeous! It literally does smell of summer fresh and a bit sweet and just yum yum yum yum yum :) two thirds of my sample size are already gone because i love it so much! Obviously its almost impossible to review a perfume unless you are some sort of amazing-nosed-scent-aficionado but really what i want to talk about is the UNBELIEVABLE amount of perfumes Elizabeth has available on her site!!! With EVERYTHING from 'cuddly blue poodle' to twilight based fragrances she has every base covered! You can have perfumes custom mixed for you and everything! its astonishing!
Also each bottle has two little swarovski crystals in it in rose and ket to match the company logo and label colours! too cute :)
Never found your favourite perfume? Want one that smells like your favorite food/drink? Go here and check out Suds'n'Sass' unbelievable fragrance selection!!
Which one am i going to buy? probably candy fluff or stawberry cupcake! divine!!

In's and Out's!!
In!
* doing a big make-up booking this morning and it all going really well despite it not being in the most make-up-artist-friendly environment
* Seeing mouthwash with big d and the kids table on thursday - this is also a bit of an out because i literally dont have a penny at the moment and the gig ticket is
£12, i cheekily put it out on twitter that id like to get in free and the lads were nice enough to tweet me back saying they'd do their best!! however would i live without the internet huh?
edit: when i was 15, i 'survived' by chatting up door staff or getting together with members of 'bands' to get in... oops ;)
* chocolate cornflakes
* stew chasing the ice cream man down the road for me today because (for reasons that will be mentioned later in the post) i'm currently confined to the sofa! the ice cream man drove off but the image of stew chasing him cheered me up more than the 99p-but-it-actually-costs-two-quid mr whippy anyway!!
* logging onto blogger to see lots and lots and lotssssss of new things to read! thanks girls!!
* not having to work until saturday - again, also an 'out' because i have no money!! but its nice to spend time with stew and relax a bit!
Outs!
* i am super duper mega uber poorly, i mentioned on saturday that id been feeling a bit peaky and yesterday i nearly fainted when i got in the bath! today i woke up with an all-consuming headache and i somehow managed to get through my booking today without passing out... i went into town with stew and we had to come home because i was so ill! since about 2pm this afternoon i have been hot cold hot cold hot cold and keep falling asleep without much warning as though im jetlagged, stew has presribed lots of rest so as i already said, im snuggled on the couch with a huge duvet! i really hope it passes tomorrow because i want to be well enough for the gig thursday!
* no money no money no money - after having lots of student loan to play with all year, this whole overdraft thing has hit me pretty hard!! i dont have any money to socialise or shop or anything so im house-bound until i win the lottery! im not the sort of person who thinks money is particularly important but its not a nice feeling to dread getting to the checkout at asda! food is pretty important!
* finding holes in your favourite pairs of socks! this week ive thrown away ones with cupcakes on. sad cat!!
* one of my really great friends deciding he's going to move to canada soon! i dont understand what is so appealing about it, three of my mates have moved there in two years!
I feel like i'm going to fall asleep again so this ones short and sweet im afraid!! x

Money saving tip #2: make it yourself!
I kept seeing gorgeous chain and ribbon bracelets in accessorize and topshop but they all seemed a bit 'blah' and were all really expensive for a short length of chain and a bit of ribbon (£10 topshop, are you taking the piss?!) so, in true Cat fashion, I made my own for a fraction of the price!!
I had this old pair of pumps from Primark that had got holes in (they were originally like £5 and i definately got my moneys worth out of them!!)

So I snipped the little chain bits off!

Bought two small lengths of ribbon for about £2

Took the cream bits out of the chain so it left just the chain..

and then threaded the little bits of ribbon through the chain

Et voila!!

how cute are they!! let me know if you make your own and send me photos! you can get lengths of chain from craft shops or market stalls so you dont need to buy the shoes to make these!!
