New Years Eve dress!

I bought this dress from new look today!

Im going to wear it to work on NYE, i paid £19.80 with student discount (its £22 in new look) but when i went on the AXParis website i found out it was on sale for £15!! SOD YOU NEW LOOK FOR RIPPING ME OFF!! haha, oh well, its lush and looks looooooovely :)

just thought i'd share it with you all!!
oh and if you see anything by AXParis in new look, check the proper website first! its probably cheaper ;)

I was naughty.... new boots!

I had been eyeing these up in the Next window display for a longgggg longgggg time! Thing is, i just didn't think i would have any reason to wear them.. with a flat deposit to pay for and some dental work to have done i didnt want to part with £55 for a pair of boots i thought i wouldn't wear, all of my heels are black! These certainly are NOT...

Now i know they arent louboutins but they were only £25 in the sale, and they were the last pair in the shop...in my size. Clearly, they were meant to be mine!
The soles are bright purple and im completely and utterly in love with them.. ive already worn them once (out to dinner with stew and his friends) and theyre super comfy :)

They look really good with a long, black, tight (as in fitted...not too small for me haha!!) vest dress and leggings, but what else do you guys think i should wear with them?

My Christmas Presents!

Blah blah blah everyone bought me all this stuff, im not affiliated with any company blahhhhhh blahhhhhh.

So, seeing as i dont give two shits about the negativity and jealousy circulating, and seeing as a lot of people said they wanted to see this...

HERES WHAT SANTA BOUGHT ME!! i was a really good girl you see ;)

oops and before i forget, santa bought stew a Nikon D3000 camera along with all of his other presents this year so all of these photos are taken on that!!

First up, my dad!
I got these quite a while ago as he went away for christmas and new year :( i got bailey button uggs in black, a topshop top/dress with bows down the back, two plain black and white topshop vests that aren't pictured, nars sheer glow foundation, nars cream blush in penny lane, mac msf natural in light and mac studio fix fluid in nc15 :)

^ as you can tell, i havent QUITE sussed out the camera yet ;)

Next, mum, nan and my auntie!
Where to start! i got a hello kitty cushion and matching bedspread duvet set thingy, some socks, gloves and a glow stick as stocking fillers, a blow up peppa pig cushion, peppa pig snap cards, hello kitty pj's a selection box, pink smarties, diesel feminine, silver heart earrings and a gorgeous silver necklace from my mum. The dragonfly necklace is from my little brother. My nan got me a hello kitty spa wrap towel, hello kitty calendar, a cute little tin with marshmallows in it, the bed socks with cats on, a little hello kitty princess teddy and a hello kitty princess purse. My auntie got my the silver make-up bag and it had eyeshadows, lipgloss, eyeliners, nail polishes etc in it. anyone would think i liked hello kitty ;) hahaha xx

Stew parents:
They always spoil me so much and i always feel so guilty!! Stew mum and dad got me a GORGEOUS fluffy pink dressing gown and river island slipper booties, harajuku lovers 'love' perfume, a gorgeous silver and diamonte cuff (the photo doesnt do it any justice its absolutely stunning) pink smarties, river island lipgloss handbags, and elizabeth arden 8 hour cream body treatment. The cute pen and keyring set is from stews grandma and the diary, make-up bag and set of 3 lipglosses were an early new years present from stews parents :) ooooh and i also got two bath bombs from stews parents but i left them at their house today for when i stay over and have baths :)

Finally, Stew!
My chrismtas card is a pop up one! and inside it said 'this entitles you to a ticket to go and see pendulum in may' :D!! im so excited about that! hurry up may!! He also got me the Soap and Glory Big Thrill Hatbox, the gorgeous handmade peanut butter and jelly earrings pictured below (im wearing them!!) two pairs of topshop socks (i have a pair on, they got cakes on them) a beautiful river island sequinned purse, The Skints Debut album (google them, theyre bloody brilliant) and that FANTASTIC teapot, its from japan and the box is all in japanese, its amazing! you put the pot on top of the cups then the tea strainer and the lid make it into a rabbit!! :)

The earrings

I also got presents from my housemates as well, a cute mug and piggy bank from verity, and a hello kitty teddy and lipglosses from Kathryn.

I'd like to make a big point of telling everyone how humbled i feel this christmas. I cannot believe i received so many beautiful and amazing gifts. I suppose really i am showing off a little bit in this post because i was never ever expecting to receive so much from everyone! For me its not about the brand or price, its about the thought behind the presents. I absolutely adore everything i received this year and im hoping i havent forgotten to take photos of anything! I'd like to say a huge thank you to my mum, dad, nan, auntie, stews parents, stew, my housemates, and anyone else who was generous enough to give me a gift this year. I feel overwhelmingly loved and spoilt.

A sudden, and absolutely HUGE lush addiction...

As you all have seen, ive been reviewing a huge amount of lush products recently, whilst on the website getting photos for my blog yesterday i spotted the "spend £20 and get free stuff" promotion... so, in true 'cat' style, i pottered off to lush in leicester today and proceeded to spend some hard earned cash!!

I bought the Wild Child gift set (it has rockstar, whip stick, and yummy yummy yummy in it!!! i couldnt resist), it also has sugar babe and up you gets in it. sex in the shower emotibomb and soft coeur massage bar...

Wild Child Gift Set

Soft Coeur

Sex in the Shower

and i got all of this completely FREE!!!!
(apparantly some stores let you choose any gift set but i just got given a random goodie bag? i really dont care either way, im SUPER DUPER MEGA UBER happy with all the stuff i got!!!!)

Yep, thats right!! i got Seasons Greetings gift set which contains a 90g strawberry santa shower jelly, 100g sugar scrub, 100g father frost soap and 100g happy hippy shower gel!! those products add up to £11.66

Secret Santa gift set which contains a Satsuma Santa bath ballistic and 70g of Snowcake soap. These add up to £4.75

aaaaaand Jingle Spells bath ballistic which retails at £2.75

All of those things add up to about £18!! It seems like a pretty good deal right? WRONG. Whilst adding up what the gift boxes were worth, i realised something absolutely awful.

The products inside the Seasons greetings gift set add up to roughly about £12. Lush charge £14.50 for it. The products inside the Secret santa gift box add up to roughly £4.50, lush charge you £5 for it. The products inside the Wild Child gift set (the one i actually PAID for add up to roughly £14.77 and lush charge you £15.95. I have always been under the impression that gift sets are the best thing to buy as they're normally better value for money.... think of things like Mac brush sets, £100 worth of brushes for £40. Or gifts sets in shops like boots (the soap and glory hatbox for example) which are absolutely amazing value for money!!! I'm slightly confused about why lush charge over the odds for the gift sets, if anything they should be a little bit cheaper than all of the products seperately to encourage people to buy them (isnt it better to have £20 in the till rather than a fiver for a few bits and bobs?) I dont know... im extremely happy about all of the free stuff i got but slightly annoyed that Lush charge more for the gift set than the products or worth.

That said i think lush is an incredible shop, i really do enjoy all of their products loads and some things i genuinly couldnt live without!! It's not a rant per se... im just a bit baffled!!

Lush Review 4: Mister Butterball and Rockstar Soap

As always, all image are from the Lush website. All items were bought with my own money and this is my honest opinion. I am not affiliated with Lush Ltd.

Mister Butterball

Price: £2.20 per snowman ;)

Lush say: Mister Butterball blesses gives you with vanilla-scented, soft skin for Christmas. He has had a little work done this year. After a Synaesthesia massage and a Lush makeover, he's ready to rock this Christmas in a sexy new guise. Fortunately, he still smells of our sweet, soothing Ballistic and he still melts tiny pieces of creamy cocoa butter into the bathwater to moisturize and soften your whole body. The all time classic way to get children into the bath when they're over-stimulated and excited about Father Christmas turning up.

I say: this was looooooooooooooooovely!!! it fizzed up really quickly and i realised the 'tiny' pieces of cocoa butter are actually surprisingly good chunks!! as it fizzed away the cocoa butter melted into the water and left a sort of oily layer on top of the water, it doesnt sound great but it was AMAZING!! i came out of the bath silky smooth and didnt really need to moisturise... but i did anyway :) i absolutely love the smell of this. 10/10!!!!

Rockstar Soap

Price: £2.81 for 100g

Lush Say: The creamy vanilla sweetie one. Here's a soap for all of us who know we ought to be attracted to sophisticated beiges and navy blues, but can't help grabbing everything pink! The Rock Star soap smells just like Creamy Candy Bath, so now you can shower and bathe with our sweet vanilla perfume.

I say: this is my all time favourite lush product. The smell is absolutely divine, it lathers brilliantly (and the lather is PINK) and a 100g chunk will last for weeks and weeks and weeks... its really moisturising and the scent really lingers... whenever i use this i get told stew 'likes my smell' so its gotta be good ;) id give this 100/10 because it really is amazing. I'd recommend this to anyone, regardless of age (probably mainly women though!! its a bit feminine) go and buy it right now, because i guarantee you will never look back!!

December In's and Out's

I was a fantastic little blogger and wrote this in a notebook whilst i was at my mum's house with no internet connection :)

Thumbs Up:
- being able to have a bath every single day, sometimes twice a day!
- buying a HUGE bag of lush goodies before i went home, then filling my daily baths with them!
- being at home with family, curling up on the sofa to watch films and eat sweets :)
- buying presents for everyone and not being able to wait to see their faces when they open them! Update! my presents were a huge success and i got loads of wonderful, fantastic, gorgeous things as well! i was much more about giving than receiving this year, how grown up of me ;)
- knowing that Stew is going to love all of his presents and being super excited about what he has got me! Update!! he loved everything and he got me tickets to see pendulum, a soap and glory big thrill hatbox, some cute handmade japanese earrings, The Skints album, some cute topshop socks, and a japanese teapot that looks like a rabbit!!
- having my lovely little car over the christmas break! i didnt enjoy driving in the ice and snow but im slowly rebuilding the confidence ive lost through not driving at uni and stew is so supportive and fantastic, i love it!
- snow fairy shower gel, the smell is to die for.

Thumbs Down:
- my dad being away for christmas and new year, its been incredibly hard and emotional for me not seeing him, especially as ive been feeling really homesick lately. Hes having an amazing time and its 34 degrees out there, but it was AWFUL not seeing him on christmas day.
- having to spend time without Stew over christmas, it so strange not having him to talk to and waking up without him in the morning. Update: i'm writing this from stews house and i dont think ive ever loved him more than i do at the moment. Absence certainly does make the heart grow fonder! >_<
- the guaranteed weight gain that comes with christmas BOOOO!!!
- being at home for about half a day and starting to receive prank calls from all of the absolute idiots i left behind.
- Lush lil pud bath ballistic, it looked like i'd done a poop in the bath. Not my cup of tea, i must say.

Lush Review 3: Christmas Party and Snow Fairy

Images from the Lush website.
All products were bought by me, with my own money. This is my honest opinion and i am not affiliated with Lush Ltd.

Christmas Party

Price: £2.80 for one very large ballistic!!

Lush say: There's enough good cheer in this Christmas cocktail of a party Ballistic to last you a whole evening. We scent it with revitalizing orange and lime to get the party started, then add cognac essential oil for a bit of festive spirit. You'll find that it's intoxicatingly encouraging. It seems to dissolve away all your inhibitions. Bathe with a star-filled Christmas Party Ballistic before you head off to your big bash; or when you're all partied out, revive yourself with one of these and stay at home instead.

I say: this was one of my absolute favourites!! its HUGE and smells of champagne! YUM! im sure that you could chop it in half and use it twice but i just chucked the whole thing in :). After i had chucked this in my bath, it started to fizz, and i started to notice LOADS of stars, of all different sizes and colours, some metallic pink, some bright, floating about. UM, WOW! does it have them all the way through? hidden in there like some sort of present? HELL YEAH IT DOES!!!! it was absolutely amazing to lay in a bath that smelt like it consisted solely of bucks fizz, with loads of stars floating all around you! 10/10 Lush, this should be permanent cause its absolutely amazing!

Snow Fairy Shower Gel

Price: this comes in 100g 250g and 500g bottles, 250g will cost you £5.95

Lush say: Sparkly, pink, sweet-as-sugar shower gel for fruity, fluffy fairies. The Snow Fairy flies in from the bottom of the garden, all pink, sparkly and candy-scented. We had imagined that it would be popular with girls and lovers of our fluffiest fragrances, but we never believed it would be so popular with grown men, too. Use it to wash your hair and body after a ballet lesson, gymnastics class or even a football match.

I say: this smells good enough to eat (and actually, when you use it on your face and breathe the scent in through your mouth, you can actually taste bubblegum!) and the colour is to DIE for! what girl wouldnt love bright pink, sparkly shower gel ey? This lathers well when used on exfoliating gloves or a body polisher but when you just use your hands it doesnt lather particularly well. Also i personally find it slightly drying (maybe because of all of the scent in it?) and it isnt actually that sparkly when you use it but the smell is good enough to make me want to use it over, and over, and over and over again! I'll be gutted when my bottle runs out, so much so that i might grab another when i go shopping tomorrow!

Lush Review 2: Lil Lush Pud and So White

Images from the Lush website.
All products were bought by me, with my own money. This is my honest opinion and i am not affiliated with Lush Ltd.

Lil Lush Pud

Price: £1.95 per pud!

Lush say: Looks like a pudding, smells like a pudding, fizzes like a spicy Bath Ballistic. It's perfect for nursing your hangover. Clove powder warms and stimulates, as aloe vera and rose calm and soothe suffering skins. Lemon peel adds a sharp citrus zing to the Ballistic and creates part of the authentic Christmas pudding aroma.

I say: Errrr, lush, what were you thinking? At first glance and sniff this looks and smells cute and fantastic. Ok, so its a LOT smaller than the other ballistics but it looks good, right? How wrong i was. This dissolved very, very, very quickly but that was not the main problem. Ok, so it smelt great, but it turned my bath water murky brown and little flacks and chunks of the ballistic were floating on the top. Sorry to be crude, but quite frankly, it looked like i'd done a poo in the bath. Gross. This smelt fantastic and the scent would have been very very relaxing if it hadnt have looked like i'd had an accident in the bath. Sorry lush, this one simply is not good.

So White

Price: £1.75 per ballistic

Lush say: Make a frothy blanket of apple-scented 'snow' for your bath. So White is the love-child of a Ballistic and Bubble Bar union. Rather than fizzing into nothing, it leaves behind a fresh snowfall on the water. Rose absolute is lovely for dry, rough or mature skins, allowing them to soak in a soothing water and relax weary, cluttered minds. Bergamot is a refreshing and fragrant oil to re-energize you when you're feeling run down.

Stew says: This was pretty good!! I chose it mainly for the scent (it smells of apples, but kinda sweet at the same time). When dropped into the bath it fizzed quite slowly, and lasted a long time (first thumbs up) it turned the water milky and did leave a snow like froth on the top (second thumbs up!!) the smell was really really good and it leaft my skin really soft and smooth. Third thumbs up!!

I say: I haven't used mine yet!! check back tomorrow for my opinion!

Lush Review 1: Candy Cane Bubble Bar and Star Bath Melt

Images from the Lush Website.
All products were bought by me with my own money and this is my honest opinion. I am not affiliated with Lush Ltd.

Candy Cane Bubble Bar

Price: £2.35 per bar

Lush Say: Sweet as candy and twice as bubbly.
While acknowledging that a stick of baking soda and cream of tartar doesn't sound quite as appealing as a stick of sugar, we think you'll change your mind once you smell Lush's Candy Cane. Making another popular comeback, our pink and white swirled stick of solid bubble bath brings froth and fragrant bubbles to your tub. It gives a soothing scent of vanilla sweeties to a Christmas stocking and makes your skin lickably soft. Let's just repeat the for good measure: smells good enough to eat, but don't.

I say: WOW! i chopped this in half with a large kitchen knife and crumbled half of it into my bath, within minutes the water was bright pink and on top of the water? MOUNDS on baby pink bubbles, to top it all off, it smelt like a bath made entirely of sweets!! After using it twice i was in love, bathtime is a huge treat for me as i dont have a bath in my house, just a shower! Laying down in pink water covered in pink bubbles and surrounded by the aroma of sweets - i could not have been happier. This is 100% a 10/10 for me! buy it while you can!!!

Star Bath Melt

Price: £2.45 for one gorgeous pink star!

Lush Say: Melt into a bath of sugar sweetness. This festive Luxury Bath Melt smells just like our best-selling Snow Fairy. As it melts in the hot water, the shea and cocoa butters create a skin softening blend, while the icing sugar makes the water creamy and soothing. It's the icing on the cake for all snow fairies and mortals who seek fairy magic and lovely pink water.

I say: at first i was a bit sceptical about this... it looked very very neon to me and after one bad experience a long time ago with a bath bomb that turned my boyfriends mums bath bright yellow... i got worried. But i plopped it into my bath anyway and all of my worries just melted away ;) immediately the water started turning a sugary, creamy pink colour, and the smell of bubblegum and sugar and general amazingness filled the bathroom! Sqealing with delight i hopped into the water and laid back to relax for a good hour or so, my only slight complaint with this is that it didnt all quite melt and i ended up with a few little bits stuck to the bottom of the bath, but other than that this is absolutely amazing. It made my skin feel really soft and smooth and i smelt of bubblegum for the whole night, fantastic!! I'd give this a 9.9/10 as it didnt quite melt!!

Oh Santa...

You do spoil me!!!

What did i get? well it would sound awful if i sat here and listed everything but i am INCREDIBLY spoilt by everyone! my gifts are all so beautiful!

So long, fairwell....

Hi Guys!

I'm so excited, i have work tonight 8:30 - 1am and at 1am Stew and I are braving the winter roads and driving 'home'. Home as in my home, down south, not his home up north ;) I literally cannot wait, just recently i've been feeling incredibly homesick and i've wanted nothing more than to go home for this christmas break.

Unfortunately my dad is away for christmas and new year so i'll just be staying with my mum and my nan until NYE when i have to come back to work, then im off home again! i have a feeling its going to be an incredibly busy few weeks, and the worst bit is that i'll have no internet connection!! On top of this i'm pretty convinced that im going to get snowed in at one end of the country or the other ;) fun times!!

So, I guess this is goodbye!

I'd like to wish all of you an absolutely fantastic christmas and new year! For thos of you who don't celebrate christmas, id like to wish you a relaxing break. :)

I couldn't resist this!

Love you all, and see you in the new year! xx

Helping out a friend...

As you all know my housemate is a photographer, the other day she needed some extra shots for a 'people, places and things' assignment... she wanted a plain face and lots of bright colours, so off i went with a HUUUUGE bag of make-up!

my little set up :) - i just took anything i had that was remotely bright/that i thought was going to be useful...

The photos:

obviously these are just a few of the shots and i have two tiny brush bristles on my face which is really annoying!! the make-up wasnt meant to be technically challenging or overly amazing, just really, really bright! ooooooh and my eyebrows are supposed to be black before anyone comments on that haha!

i know i dont look like some sort of supermodel, but i dont think i look too bad in these :)

An unexpected pair...

This is the make up i wore to work last night!
Face: maybelline dream satin liquid mixed with mac sff, barbara daly for tesco one step powder foundation over t-zone, maybelline dream mousse blusher in mauve, mac msf in porcelain pink...
Eyes: mac e/s in dazzlelight (highlight) woodwinked (all over lid), wedge (crease) and shadowy lady (outer corner) who would have thought that shadowy lady (deep matte purple) and the brown/bronze/gold tones of woodwinked and wedge would have worked so well!! ooh and maybelline pulse perfection mascara.
Lips: just a bit of vaseline

Once again please excuse my DREADFUL eyebrows and the fact that some of the photos aren't great! cheers for reading, much love xox

FTC stuff: all products used were bought by myself, for my own personal use, except the maybelline mascara that was sent to me by natalie at headstream for me to be able to use and review it. i was not paid for the review

A quick explanation

As to why i have deleted my youtube videos and nost of my blogs.

I've been having some very weird problems on twitter, only a handful of girls know about them and i dont expect rumours to be spread thanks. i have only told the ones i trust. im not willing to go into details on my blog but the long and short of it is that these problems have shown me that blogging etc isnt as safe as it may seem.

Therefore i have deleted any blogs that contained what i perceive as 'too much information', all of my videos, and i have blocked a huge amount of people on twitter... no beauty bloggers youll be please to know but from now on i will not be accepting any follower requests unless i read your blog, or know you personally. if you wish to follow me and vice versa please send me a message on twitter.

you will also notice that all of my contact details are gone, if you need them, please comment on a blog and i will get back to you.
i know this is slightly awkward for any companies etc but i was never here for 'free stuff' only to write about my passions.

obviously im not saying i dont want free stuff!! haha, but im deliberately making it harder for people to get in contact with me.

if you have any questions feel free to comment on this post and i will get back to you.
i am not going to stop blogging and i dont want a big deal to be made out of this.

Thank you,
Cat x

I NEED this in my life!!

cannot stop watching it
i want one!! x
